Fictional texts, that is.

I have a new book coming out. It's called FLICKER SHIMMER SHINE and it will be released on Halloween.

However...

If you live in Gettysburg, you can (potentially) purchase the book a bit early because I have twenty copies and will be doing a book signing at Mr. G's this upcoming Saturday, October 25, from 3:00 to 5:00. (I'll have my other books there too, so if a Halloween ghost story doesn't appeal to you, maybe a black raspberry milkshake and a novel about book-banning or time-travel does.)

Fair warning: FLICKER SHIMMER SHINE is on the heavier side. It's not a lengthy book... but it's heavy. Here's the synopsis:

When nine-year-old Oli's brother Brooks takes his own life, she assumes she'll never see him again. She assumes she'll now be forced to rely on photographs and memories and little more.

But then, deep in the woods on Halloween night, Brooks returns for one day.

For twenty-four hours.

For one thousand four hundred forty minutes.

Against all odds, Oli is being given the gift of more time, and over the next fleeting hours, she must decide whether to create new memories, revel in cherished moments, or face a painful past and the fear of a future without Brooks.

There are many Hannah/Pip Easter eggs hidden in this text. If you really know me, or if you were lucky enough to really know Pip, you will likely catch some of them. Plus, the cover art is mostly his.

So... Saturday.

If you're free on Saturday afternoon, please swing by Mr. G's for some ice cream and some new reading material.

***As always, the novels cost money but my signature is free.
